Typing with One Hand

We have a new addition to our family and I usually only have time to be on the computer while she is nursing, therefore I have to type one-handed. (I have become pretty good at it!) But without further adieu, let me introduce Mia Christine Hankins! She was born on January 8th, but she wasn’t due until early February. She is doing well now after spending 9 days in the NICU because her lungs weren’t as developed as they should be. She still needs oxygen, but we are so happy to have her home with us.
I was able to deliver her at home with the assistance of my midwife. I was happy to be able to labor in the comfort of my home as planned. When I was pregnant with Gage we were also planning a home birth, but he turned breach so I had to have a c-section. This time everything went mostly as planned except for her early arrival and post-delivery trip to the hospital.
I want to thank Jessica my midwife, the Jensens for being here to help during the birth, both of our parents for their huge help with Gage and meals, my sister for her help recently, and especially to Danny for being my support during the birth and for holding everything together while I spent time with Mia in the hospital. He continues to pamper me and take care of me every day and I greatly appreciate him!
